Main Stream Media Bias Guide

A short list to help you point out the evident or not so evident bias in a article or newscast.

Story tone: If you noticed the difference in tone between a story based on a Republican or vice versa a story based on a Democrat there may be bias evident. For instance if the newsreport concentrates how a Republicans taxcut hurts the poor yet his/her opponents opposition to it is painted to be protective of the poor, then there is bias. To be fair the report should provide the negatives and positives in equal weight for BOTH sides.
Party Dropping: If a story about fraud or malfeasance leaves out the party of the offender or mentions the accusers party affiliation but fails to mention the party of the accused, this is a very subtle sign of bias. For instance recently there was a newsreport on a company that was accused of tearing up voter registration application, they mentioned that they were hired by republicans, failed to mention the accuser had been fired for falsifying information. Meanwhile in Denver the news reported multiple cases of voter registration fraud, yet the party of the offenders was never mentioned, a clear cut case of bias.
News Balance: Is the balance of the news on any given day tilted towards one party or another? A single day though heavily imbalanced is not so much a sign of bias, but if a clear pattern persists of hammering a single issue or party day after day, then you have bias. Sometimes you have to be careful though in filtering the noise to recognize the bias at hand, who are the chosen speakers through out the period in question? Was it more heavily Democrat over the period accusing Republicans or presenting the facts against the other side, are they using human props for the "emotion" affect? A lot of wild cards could be introduced.
FactChecking: Do they present all of the facts or all of the evidence? This is the hardest one probable because most people wont take the time to dig up the facts themselves or find out the rest of the story. This category I also include some of the personal story elements, such as mothers who lost children in Iraq or other places. DO they ever mention the families who lost family memmbers ans still support the war? How about the 911 families what about the Bush supporters (who outnumber Kerry supporters by the way), they always highlight the anti-Bush families. How about the draft story, do they mention all of the facts? On Nightline they never mentioned the fact that the Draft Bill was wholly supported and created by democrats, these sort of things are important to the viewer.

In the end it comes down to the viewer and the people to hold the MSM accountable for there mistakes and bias. Otherwise we are doomed to the personal opinion of a affable guy from Canada or from Texas. Also remember the big lie theory, "tell a big enough lie often enough, people will believe it" .

Remember it is the EVIDENCE not the charge that matters.

Well lately polls are showing Bushing moving back into a 3-5 point lead, and you have got to wonder why that is. According to the MSM Kerry cleaned the Presidents clock in the debates. I have a theory to why this is.

I think Kerry is totally forgettable. Unless you are reminded of him constantly the only person you really think of is the President, do I like him this week or dont I. Is he doing good or bad. Kerry is a sidebar, the back up plan for Americans. This truly is a referendum on the President this year. You ask any supporter of Kerry and you ask him what Kerry's plan is for the Economy they either cannot tell you or they tell you something that isnt true. Take Kerry's Iraq plan for instance, Kerry's supporters will tell you its different from the Presidents, but when pushed to tell you the plan once again its either they cant tell you or if they do its the same plan as the Presidents.

Another factor I believe is that alot of the Democrats gameplan was bet on hate, can we extend the 30% of America that hates Bush into the 20% that dislike or arent sure about the President. What it comes down to is you cant win on hate. I think a good 5% - 10% of the Kerry supporters are going to wane in the closing weeks of the campaign because very simply Kerry hasnt offered anything that has real meat on it.

Of course I am not a political scientist nor am I a proffesional pollster.

My final popular vote prediction is Bush 51.7% Kerry 47.3% Other .7% none .3%

My final EV vote prediction is Bush 290 EV Kerry 250 EV, This accounts for election fraud caused by the democrats, look for a couple of places to have 110% turnout such as cincinatti and philadelphia. Also 1 EV goes to Bush from Maine. Bush could end up with a modern version of an EV landslide with over 330 EV's or he could lose it by just a few points, Bush obviously has the strategic advantage this year over his challenger.

Not often do I have a thought that I wish to make public. But here is one that is nagging me. I am concerned about the Patriot Act. But why speak out about something that protects us from the evil that lurks out there? To speak out against the Patriot Act would be unpatriotic! That is what I a devout conservative used to think. But as a patriot I have to ask what does the Patriot Act do?

Expands the FBI's power to conduct secret searches of private property or homes without informing the owner.
Expands FBI access to private records held by a third party, such as credit reports, student records, medical records, financial information.
Allows the FBI to conduct secret searches or wiretap s on U.S. citizens to obtain evidence of crimes without showing "probable cause."
Expands an exception to the 4th Amendment for spying that collects information about the origin and destination of communications. This exception, when applied to Internet usage, allows access to far more private details than when applied to traditional communication methods like telephones or regular mail.

Yes this is an excellent tool for our law enforcement to stop those evil doers. But what if you were suspected of a crime against the nation? What if you spoke out, and somebody of authority did not like what you had to say?

I can think of several organizations that have utilized similar tactics, such as the Nazi Gestapo, and the Soviet KGB. The provisions allowed by the Patriot Act as it stands provide the basis to undermine our constitutional rights.

On September the 29th, a district judge struck down a USA Patriot Act provision allowing the FBI to gather phone and Web customer records and then barring the service providers from ever disclosing the search took place.

Judge Victor Marrero said the law violated the Fourth Amendment because it barred or deterred any judicial challenge to government searches, and it violated the First Amendment because its permanent ban on disclosure was a prior restraint on speech.
He noted that the U.S. Supreme Court recently said that a "state of war is not a blank check for the president when it comes to the rights of the nation's citizens."
"Sometimes a right, once extinguished, may be gone for good," Marrero wrote.

Bush has stated that he wants to keep the Patriot Act as is. Kerry wants to change it. I am very interested in what Kerry wants to change about it. If I like the change I'm afraid that may enough to swing my vote to Kerry. Even though he is a flip flooper.

But maybe that is too radical. I suggest that we notify the Republican National Committee www.rnc.org and tell them what we think of the Patriot Act.

Much has been made lately from a mass email campaign the John Kerry Campaign and CBS about a possible draft, the truth of the matter is that its the Democrats and John Kerry who want the draft, not President Bush and the Republicans as stated by those various sources, here is my proof.

Anyways here is something to ponder. Much has been made lately about CBS and Memo-gate, and today CBS issued a statement about how they were deceived, fair enough now just apoligize to the President and move on.

OK now on Kerry's record. Where is his last DD214? He received one after being released from training and one after being released from active duty. Now what I understand is that after his initial enlistment Kerry must request when the Reserves should release him from the IRR(inactive ready reserve) since he is an officer it can be indefinate. Now after perusing his site I found he is he is missing his key DD214, the one releasing him from all service requirements. It is missing. People say he got an Honorable Discharge in 1978 which is there on his site, yet he doesnt have a corresponding DD214. Which isnt correct, he should have one. I am led to believe Kerry was released in April 1973 from all service requirements,5 years prior to his receiving a Honorable Discharge(under carter none-the less), and did not receive a honorable discharge, possibly just a general or even a other than honorable. Do you think that since Kerry had the choice of just one year or up to a lifetime he would choose 6 years to serve in the IRR? I dont believe it one bit. He was very busy when he returned home, and was running for federal officee at one time, he even has a document on his page stating that. So why is it that he didnt receive his Honorable Discharge until 5 years after his real discharge? Enquiring minds want to know.

First off today I would like to thank my friends Pat and Vince for joining me on my blog, they can help keep it more interesting and enjoyable and fill in the gaps when I am not feeling up to snuff on posting. Now for my opinion.

I remember being 17 years old and watching incredulously as Clarence Thomas was being paraded on TV and being lynched verbally in front of my eyes. I actually was quite the liberal thinker then, although I had already made a right turn after President Reagan made his Surly Bonds speech after the SpaceShuttle Challenger Disaster. I sat there and listened how Thomas was a "Uncle Tom", a traitor to his race, how its not the evidence its the seriousness of the charge. I was like yeah, you accused of something mister you better answer it. Well he did, and did often but that didnt matter, the preponderance of evidence was in his court yet that didnt matter, by golly he shouldnt be sitting in the most important court in the land because he was accused of something, regardless of the facts.

Flash Forward to 2004. I realized now what I didnt then, that such behavior is antithetical to Democracy, such thought is a disease that can destroy a nation. Look at Nazi Germany, I know I dwell on them alot, but in world history no bigger event was bigger than their regime. They were a democracy with a democratically elected government. On one cold night Nov 1938 Goebbels announced official German reprisal against international jewry, now up until then the German Govt had been acting out under conspicuous yet almost understandable actions, first they revoke citizenship then ownership rights, people stood by and did nothing because they accepted the official Reich understanding, over time even the average German started to believe the propoganda of the Govt. Now I understand that CBS isnt a govt, they are a news outlet outside of the govt's control. But when a massive multimedia company, starts to play by its own rules and attempts to set its own facts that is a dangerous turn of events. We understand the difference between a National Enquirer and a NYTimes, well mostly anyways the newspaper of record seems scratched lately. But when a news company is caught in its own lies, and rather(pun intended) than own up to them or even simply say they are in question but defend them for a week straight then we have a problem(kenneth whats the frequency).

There is no doubt now the documents are forged, everybody from the secretary for Killian to CBS's own vetted experts are saying this. So why are they still defending it? Rather wrote a piece in the NY Observer asking the President to answer the questions raised by him, yet Dan Rather hasnt answered the questions raised by us. What we see here is a Goebbelesque attempt to affect a nation and its democracy, to sway through false evidence and testimony a Presidential race, that is unacceptable in this time or any time.

I would like to see Dan Rather fired, but that wont happen. I guess my second best shot would be for him to sit down on another 60 Minutes and say that these documents are false, and they were woefully misled. They should have Ben Barnes daughter on counteracting her own fathers testimony. He should explain they did not use the same vetting process for those agreeing with him and CBS's news. Explaining that Barnes , Matley and others were partisans. Barnes himself is a top fundraiser for Kerry, and therefore according to there own standards set up shouldnt have been allowed on air. Lastly they should tell us there "unimpeachable source", maybe not his name but his qualifications that led them to believe his authenticity. This isnt much to ask in my opinion, the damage has been done to themalready and the famous Eye of CBS is bruised, now its time to take the steak out of the fridge and place it over the eye.

Thousands of people have signed up to call their congressional representatives Tuesday to protest the Induce Act, a controversial copyright bill that many fear would undermine the legal protections that allow consumers to make personal copies of music or movies they've bought.
The Induce Act, officially known as the Inducing Infringement of Copyrights Act (SB2560), was intoduced in June by Sens. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) and Patrick Leahy (D-Vermont).
It would hold technology companies liable for making products that encourage customers to infringe copyright. The Induce Act conflicts with the landmark 1984 Betamax Supreme Court decision, which ruled that home videotape recorders were legal because they have "substantial non-infringing uses," even though some people might use the machines to infringe copyrights. Though the entertainment industry opposed the machine at the time, the ruling paved the way for the development of the enormous home video and DVD market, and other technological innovations of the past 20 years.

We really needed to get the attention of senators and representatives and show them that people really care about this!

Protecting the innovation engine that drives the American economy and to be highly suspicious of any initiative proposed by the existing dominant players. The Induce Act will make it more difficult for the next generation of entrepreneurs to be successful.
Heavyweights like the music industry have spent more time convincing legislators to protect their current business models than serving their own customers' needs.
Television, movie and music companies have given $168,928 in campaign donations to Hatch since 1999, according to Opensecrets.org, a website run by the Center for Responsive Politics, an organization that tracks campaign donations. Leahy recived $232,050 in the same period. The internet, computer and telecommunications industries donated less money to each.
It simply makes our task (as entrepreneurs) that much more difficult. It tilts the playing field in favor of the established suppliers at the expense of innovators.
Once (the bill) is through, it's going to be 10 times as hard to win those rights back.

Hello all my name is Vince and I decided to join Chris and Pat, as a long time friend of them both I like to "stir the pot" so to speak. I am not that much into politics but well see what happens.

A little about myself: I am a married man 30 years of age getting ready to enter into the military. Kinda old to start what I hope to be a career in the military. I decided to join the Army this late in life for a few reasons. I have some unfinished buisness with the military that started about 12 years ago. I'll not get into that now it's along story and one that shames me. The other reason is that I am tired of going nowhere with my life, the dead-end jobs, low pay, no advancement. I am not a college educated person just made thought high school so that don't leave a person a lot of options. Well I figured I would have a good shot at getting a good job in the Army so I went and inquired at the local recruting station. One year and 45lbs lighter I went and picked my job (52c havc) and got my ship date. Well I got a good job somthing that if I wanted to leave the service I could do in civilian life. So I am leaving the 29th Sep this month and ready to start life anew.

I am often asked what about Iraq with the war and all. Well all I can say is that if it so happens that the unit I am assigned to is going then I am ready to go. I have prepared my wife and kids as much as possible that this is a real possibility and they have come to accept this as a risk that we take to better our lives. As I heard once "Everyone wants to live in America, but no one wants to pay the rent." I am willing to make this sacrifice for my family, friends, and America as many have done before me.(Thanks Chris) Whatever the future may hold, I can't wait to find out my course is ahead and that way I look hoping I need never look back.

The burden of proof is on the democrats, they are making the claims and they must provide the proof. Isnt that after all what they demanded of the SwiftVets? Dan Rather claims that its not the content of the story but seriousness of the charges smacks of Nazism straight from Goebbels handbook, remember Goebbels made all kinds of claims against the Jews and nobody in Germany really clamored for the truth.

Republicans should be demanding that the Dems provide proof that Bush was AWOL, and there is only one document that can prove it. Its called a Counseling Statement, because it is highly unlikely that a Guard unit will issue a AR-15, because in the Guard Article 15's are very rare and are usually saved for when a soldier is on active duty or has been busted taking drugs or other serious offensives. AUSTIN, Texas — The man named in a disputed memo as exerting pressure to "sugarcoat" George W. Bush's military record left the Texas Air National Guard a year and a half before the memo supposedly was written, his service record shows.
An order obtained by The Dallas Morning News shows that Col. Walter "Buck" Staudt was honorably discharged March 1, 1972. CBS News reported this week that a memo in which Staudt was described as interfering with officers' negative evaluations of the future president's service was dated Aug. 18, 1973.

Marcel Matley the only expert cited by CBS had this to say in 2002 national review
In fact, modern copiers and computer printers are so good that they permit easy fabrication of quality forgeries. From a copy, the document examiner cannot authenticate the unseen original but may well be able to determine that the unseen original is false. Further, a definite finding of authenticity for a signature is not possible from a photocopy, while a definite finding of falsity is possible.

Attempting to authenticate a signature from a photocopy is exactly what Matley did for CBS. Game over.

Retired Maj. General Hodges, Killian's supervisor at the Grd, tells ABC News that he feels CBS misled him about the documents they uncovered. According to Hodges, CBS told him the documents were "handwritten" and after CBS read him excerpts he said, "well if he wrote them that's what he felt."
Hodges also said he did not see the documents in the 70's and he cannot authenticate the documents or the contents. His personal belief is that the documents have been "computer generated" and are a "fraud".

“It just wouldn’t happen,” he said. “No officer in his right mind would write a memo like that.”
The personnel chief in Killian’s unit at the time also said he believes the documents are fake.
“They looked to me like forgeries,” said Rufus Martin. “I don’t think Killian would do that, and I knew him for 17 years.” Killian died in 1984.

The CBS executive said a CBS reporter read the documents to Hodges over the phone, and that Hodges replied that "these are the things that Killian had expressed to me at the time," the Post reported Friday.
But the Post also reported that "in a telephone interview from her Texas home, Killian's widow, Marjorie Connell, described the records as 'a farce,' saying she was with her husband until the day he died in 1984 and he did not 'keep files.' She said her husband considered Bush 'an excellent pilot.'"

The Donation pages are identical in nature, form, and function in the sense they track the donations back to moveon.
Therefore they are tracking donations specific from Moveon thus applying a causal relationship between the two of them.
It is interesting that the PAC donation section on moveon no longer has a team number attached, but the letter shown on fox did.
How did they get assigned a team number for contributions of Team Number 437 if they are not in a relationship?

Ok here is the deal. We the ones who are politically acute can smell desperation when a candidate goes outside the norm. Kerry is that desperate person, he is desperate like a fox. Why am I saying this? Because Kerry made a desperate gamble about the SwiftVets, and for now it is definately working. We the proud members of the Republican Party are sometimes too trustworthy in our opponents abilities to crash and burn, and it was just this close for the Kerry Campaign to do just that. But out of 10 people I have talked to in the past 4 days only 2 people support Bush and believe he is not behind these ads, ouch. These are decidedly undecided people, they still dont know who they are voting for but they for now do not like this perceived dirty pool.

One of these undecideds is a black vietnam veteran who voted for Bush in 2000. He does not like Kerry, not one bit. He feels like many Viet Vets that Kerry betrayed them and this country, and feels that if so many veterans from Kerry's own unit dont like him and wont vote for him that there is something to it. He explains to me, and this is something I understand well, that in most units in the military there is at least one person that is so arrogant and so dislikable that he draws the distrust and dislike fom the rest of the unit, this is normal. But he is ticked off because he believes that in fact it was the President behind these ads, and to him although he dislikes Kerry its a totally different story when a President, according to him, supports a group who slams his war record. And I quote " The group should have stuck to Kerry's anti-war activities not his war activities."

He is still leaning towards Bush, but he will not vote for Kerry under any circumstances so to him its Bush or nobody, and there is a real chance its nobody with him. I have received similar responses although 50% of this group of ten said they still could vote for Kerry, 3 are still leaning Bush and 2 like my friend above say they are leaning Bush or nobody and they are the only 2 veterans in my small informal non-scientific poll.

I dont know why the RNC have sat on there hands on this one. Do they think that any polling change will be fixed by the convention and so they will save there money? Or are they waiting for this to blow over so they can counteract with commercials attacking Kerry on the same accusations they accuse Bush of? Either way with 14 commercials coming out from Moveon.org, continuing headlines from liberal newspapers across the land attacking Bush, a Kerry on-air media blitz playing the victim, this is all taking affect, and I like most political junkies are waiting to see some polls. I bet though, and this is just a guess, but polling data is showing negatives towards Bush and even some slippage in some polls, why havent they come out yet? Because the MSM wants to save the polls for post convention to show Bush in a bad light. This is a guess of course, and I am probably wrong but polls have been usually coming out once every couple of days, save the Rassmusen(sp?) daily which I dont fully trust, and the polls have seemingly stopped coming.

Maybe its only worth a penny but this is my 2 cents.

I am a conservative, make no bones about it. I believe in less government, a strong national defense, I believe abortion is wrong and immoral and homosexuality is a choice and not something you are born as. That doesnt mean government doesnt have its place outside of National Defense or that sometimes I do struggle with the idea that abortions may be needed occasionally. I also dont judge people on there choice to be gay, hey in the end they have to answer to the same G-D as I do right? Its just my right and conviction that if asked I will tell them they are wrong and I dont agree with there position. Ask any gay friends I have and they will tell you they respect me because I still respect them and never waiver on that conviction, but I do not push my ideology off on them.

Which is why I am writing this, not because of homosexuality or abortion. Its the fact that many of my conservative friends and acquantences tend to take there christian faith to an extreme. The christianity I grew up in was non-judgemental. Why tell somebody about the speck in there eye but ignore the log in your own, right? Jerry Falwell has consistently said "Hate the sin, Love the sinner" , all to often though evangelicals, which I am one of in my own way( I will explain later on) , tend to hate the sin and ignore the sinner rather than love them. I say all of this because many older christian conservatives dont like Britney Spears. I fully agree that Britney is a bad influence on young teens, is far to erotic, although being fairly young I dont mind that too much :-). But the fact is we the Republicans of America get a bad rap because of a handful of closeminded individuals who think there G-D says condemn all who dont believe. The last I checked Britney is a Christian(maybe, last I heard she was checking out Kabbalah), she may have ignored some tenants of faith but she is still(maybe) a Christian. Rather than judge her, open up to her, lead by example with an open heart rather than toss her aside and move her to the sidelines of humanity where she can do great damage to herself and to others. We are a big party, we are a loving people, but we can be too judgemental and that has been whats killing us. So lets give Britney that chance, let her perform at the GOP convention, if she turns into a left-wing hack we will have only ourselves to blame in the end.

On my religion, I believe I am Evangelical. I grew up in a Catholic family went to a Mennonite Church and when I was older I attended a Nazerene Church. I am never afraid to let people know who I believe in. But I do not attend church regularly. After reading the bible I have come to a conclusion that Christianity was meant to be a close private thing. You arent supposed to perform rituals or repeat prayers, save one. Although its great to hear the message a Pastor brings, he still is just talking to you and it is up to the individual to do with it what he may. After all this is just my belief.

Some random thoughts today.

I went to a VA Psychologist the other day as part of my Title 31 benefits and he was testing me for Vocational Rehabilitation, the test consists of three parts. The first part is an IQ test, the second is a vocational test (you know the tests that determine what field you are best at, like an ASVAB to those of you who know what that is) and a Psychological evaluation.

Well on the IQ test I scored extremely well, surprisingly well. It was the Stanford-Binet 3rd(maybe 5th) version I believe I took and came out Extremely Gifted, no numbers were given at the time but he said he believed I scored in the high 160's range. Not bad considering my education level, and the level of the test given combined. Believe it or not according to him my language skills, vocabulary and logic centers where far above the average man,

The second part was the vocational testing. I scored very highon 4 areas, high in another and average on the third. The average one was a dexterity test, having to do with typing. It was performed on an old notebook computer, so I believe the score on that is skewed, considering I have carpal tunnel and it was performed on a keyboard half the size of the average keyboard.

The third was the Psychological test. Now this part was very interesting. I came out of it being apathetic and low self-confidence. Not apathetic in the way about the world that surrounds me, but apathetic in my own future which also leads it into my lack of self-confidence which is the barrier which has kept me from taking my obvious mental gifts and actually applying them. As the good doctor told me, he has never met a 30 y/o with as high an intelligence as me with so little to show for it, part of it has to do with my choldhood but I wont get into such a personal subject in such a public manner.

There is a hot campaign for the presidency of the republic. One side is accused of being AWOLwhile serving in the National Guard. The campaign season is overheated when the democratic party puts forward a propogandic documentary meant to belittle and tell lies about the republican. No one from the leading party asks for it to be removed or threatens lawsuits, they believe in a free press and freedom of speech. A few months later a commercial comes out accusing the democratic party candidate of lying about his war record. The democatic party candidates does nothing for two weeks other than threaten lawsuits against TV stations who air it. After a couiple of weeks the book from these veterans is released rising to number 3 on the NYTimes bestseller list. The democratic party candidate once agian threatens lawsuits, this time against the book sellers. Not once, mind you, have they actually threatened a lawsuit against the authors or the veterans mentioned in the book. They accuse them of being a front for the republican party, but they dont tell you that there 527's, funded by huge democratic donors Soros, Lewis and a few other liberal billionaires, have accused the president of being a NAzi, run ads calling him a liar, members of there party comparing individual republicans of having brownshirts. Sorry but all of this does seem like 1930's Germany accept the Nazis arent rightwing in this scenario.

There are three numbers coming that the Bush team should be prepared for: 1000, 9-3, 9-11

1000 is the number of troop deaths likely to hit before the November elections. I believe the media has been lying fairly low on Iraq lately, and it makes me curious. Najaf is a huge hotspot right now and should be dominating headlines but it isnt, why is that? Sure its gets plenty of attention, but not quite like it was in May. This leads me to believe that they are cleaning there guns and are planning on making 1000 a magical number and they probably have some sort of magical number comparisons primed for attack.

9-3 is the jobs report after Bush's acceptance speech on 9-2, if it isnt over say 200,000 the press will use the "low" job growth numbers to overshadow any post-convention coverage he may have, a tricky situation for Bush and Rove to work with and its completely out of there hands.

9-11 is the only number that will help Bush, but watch out for a VFW style protest to happen, I wouldnt doubt it if a few of Teresa Heinz's sycophant 9-11 families do some sort of back turning on Bush, but unlike the VFW soldiers who called Kerry a liar and turned there backs to him the press will jump on this like flys to sh*t or bees to honey.

Unfortunately all of these situations will be outside of Bush's control and I see no way that Bush and Co. can counteract them, but there is one good thing and thats the fact the electorate is so divided and the Republicans are so united that even with all that the race will still be close.

Well the Democrats have there guns out and they are collectively aiming at there own feet, again. Today they are saying that Bush's nomination of Porter Goss to be CIA director is purely political, other than the fact that all posts nominated by a President is political the statement is absolutely stupid. When Tenet announced his resignation, both Democrats and Republicans both where almost instantly saying that Goss was the perfect pick to be CIA Director. Look at his record, military intelligence, undercoverr CIA operative, Chairman of the Select House Commitee on Intelligence you will find no man better situated to head the CIA. Nancy Pelosi, before she flip-flopped(a new democrat tactic?) said she fully supported him, but now since its a political season she doesnt. Remember the Democrats said we should act on the 9-11 Commision reccomendations immediately without thought, but I guess a new CIA Director is someone who should be delayed due to Democratic division( sorry democrats YOU guys are the ones being dividers not the other way around). This only spells disaster for the Dems just like in 2002 when the Dems figured it was smart to play politics with the War on Terror( Daschle and other leaders were th first ones to put politics into play on the WOT folks, only 2 years removed and they have rewritten history but thats alright) SO if history plays right again the Dims will be on the losing side of the issue yet again because of the constant politicizing of everything that moves in Washington.

Its funny watching the hypocritical hollywoody's. On the one hand they cry about there first amendment rights when they want there opinion known but when there fans speak out its censurship how dare they express an opinion contradictory to my own. I was reading a column about this radical left pastor who supports abortions, homosexuality and other lefty positions and calls the christian right intolerant and then he goes on to say that we need to make sure the christian right has no voice and they are as dangerous as the taliban. Tolerance right? The left is full of these people and its not based on intelligence, reasonong or understanding its based on hate. They hate the fact your views are opposite of theres. They hate the fact that you have a moral fiber. They hate the fact that you research and learn the facts independently of theres. And most of all they hate the fact that you are Christian. Thats why they hate Bush.

Notice closely lately the left is using a new tactic. They are attempting to use the bible to convince you that you are wrong. Meryl Streep conveniently says Jesus was a pacifist while ignoring many aspects of his teachings, such as his anger towards the money changers or the fact that in Luke 22:36, Jesus commands His disciples to buy swords and strap them on: "Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one." . Why Jesus was anti-capitalist when they fail to mention the parable of the talents, remeber the guy who went to hell was the one who didnt risk his money or make money. Jesus does say what good is money in his kingdom but remember he also says he does not want money from those who are forced to give. Interesting news today, other than the terror alert level going up, Kerry received a negative bounce from the convention among likely voters, a negative 5% bounce to be exact according to the latest gallup, usatoday cnn poll. Not since 1972 has a candidate had a negative bounce. Of course the election is still very close and only time will tell how it will all end up, my feeling is come the GOP coonvention the electorate will begin to make there choices known, and thats good news for Bush since his convention and his speech will be the last major one prior to the election with a narrow window between the convention and the election, only worry along the way will be the debates.

Saw Kerry and Edwards talking today on how we alienated our "allies" on Iraq. Geez i'm sorry did I miss something? Wasnt it the French who promised us they would support it but backed out at the last moment? Germany is Germany and I am not going to judge them as harshly, they have a myriad of personal demons to deal with as does Russia, which had large amounts of debt and oil owed to them by Iraq. But France is a different story they doubletalked us they lied to us they alienated US not the other way around people. They accepted bribes from Saddam. So for a man who wishes to become President and blames the trans-atlantic riff solely on us will find that the American people are far smarter than he gives them credit for. Also the fact that other than France, Germany, Russia and a couple of other nations the MAJORITY of Europe was with us, at least there governments were. Lets not forget also that almost immediately after 9-11 it was the Europeans and the hard American left that blamed America first, there newspapers were hitting us hard and its there media that has been anti-American for years, so lets balance the answer, its not that America alienated its "allies" its that our "allies" and european media that has alienated us.

I have been watching the DNC convention and mostly its unremarkable save for the two americas the DNC talks about and there seeming turn to being pro-war. A lot of the phrases are the typical talking points, republicans want to starve your children yada yada.. But the one statement that has been repeated often and almost completley ignored is "Bring back our democracy" this is a very dangerous and fearful phrase clothed in seemingly obscurity.

Does this phrase mean democracy has been lost and we live in a dictatorship?

Does it mean that democracy is only for democrats?

Maybe they are just referring to 2000?

It seems to me they really need to explain this phrase. They continue to cry that Bush has divided America but instead of wishing to unite us they say half of America doesnt deserve democracy? Half of Americans are liars and thiefs? We starve children, we are nazis no better than Saddam, and they wish to unite us? Screw that.

How many lies have we heard this political season? 1 ? A dozen? To many to count? I know its an awful lot. Why just today I heard former UN Ambassador Holbrooke tell some big lies, maybe he was misleading it sure wasnt an opinion because if it was he wouldnt have said what he said about Iraq. According to him the occupation of Iraq is the worst in American history. OK where is the joke? How did this guy rise to such a lofty position and not know a damn thing about history or historical context? I can name only three operations off the top of my head that went better than Iraq when it goes to occupation. The first would be Japan, the second is South Korea the third is Grenada. Our occupation of Germany was far far worse than Iraq, same for the American south, the American west, Cuba, Haiti( not the latest incarnations but the ones in the early part of last century), Central America, and especially the Phillipines.

After 3 years of occupying the Phillipines we had a massive uprising which resulted in 300,000 dead filipinos, 20000 dead filipino troops and 5000 dead Americans, and our occupation lasted until the end of WW2 but Iraq is worse than this right?

Maybe he was talking about foreign standing? He would be lying there also, in fact the Vietnam War was far worse for American foreign standing than Iraq is, or probably ever will be, at least in Iraq its hard for most foreign leaders to say Saddam should remain in power. I am going to predict it right now, Kerry will receive a 3 point bounce, I am even willing to wager he will not break 50% as is customary after a convention. The convention is boring non-connective and at times weird. I am an honest individual, I try to be anyways and unless speed is injected into the dims the next couple of days Clinton will be considered the highlight of this convention, he did a good job, even possibly great (chagrine). I hate giving out tips, but if you guys wish to have an effect on the undecideds you need to spend less time on Bush and 2000, stop living in the past and speak about the future and actually offer something rather than the tired "we will do better trust us" line. And another thing keep Teresa out of the spotlight. Could there have been a weirder boring speech?

I think now that the GOP is genius in how it planned its convention a month further ahead than the Dims, they really get a chance to tweak there rosters and fix whats missing from the dims convention. Not to mention that any bounce Kerry has from there convention will more than likely dissappear by the time the GOP comes around, which since it comes last will mean the bounce will have a better longer effect.

Ever see the media beside Fox ask why so many democrats are pro-Bush? We arent talking minor politicians either, I mean can you name a major Republican dumping Bush other than jumpin Jim Jeffords in 2001? I dont think its a minor thing either, sure there are some Republicans who dont care for Bush, some are the uber-right like Tom Clancy and some where the waivering middle of the party, they are the ones of the most concern to the Party but they are easily balanced by the Scoop-Jackson Democrats the ones who are almost completely liberal except on National Defense. The ones like Mayor Ed Koch, I have actually met quite a few of these types. These guys know what there party is about and what is happening to it, they are genuine liberals, not the negative name-sake by republicans type but ones who trully believe in there ideology and are honest about it. The ones who will tell you we will raise taxes on everybody, they are the ones ones with the fairest site, as far as democrats go anyways. I dont think Zell Miller is that major of a defection he is overrall a republican in a democrats clothing, he serves no better purpose than a strong mouth piece for us and as a major democrat who changed support. The Mayor Ed Koch is a different story, a liberal mayor from the largest liberal city in America supporting a moderately conservative president now thats a story that has legs but the mass media tend to ignore him much like they ignore Ron Silver in hollywood who says it best about Bush " He is a radical liberal, who is bucking the status quo on the middle east". If two liberals like them can change there minds and stick to it then there is hope that many more undecideds will join Bush.

Well my little niece is doing much better. She is not in a coma anymore and in fact she stays awake a good part of the day. Doctors have performed several operations to help drain fluid from her brain and that seems to be making a difference. They have removed the breathing tubes from her. Soon they are hoping to replace the missing parts of her skull and start rehabilitation, lucky for her she is so young and really hasnt learned that much so hopefully, barring any mental problems unforeseen, she will start learning to be normal again.

Well the 9-11 report came out today, nothing real surprising in it, except they really didnt attack any one person, just an even handed attack across the board from congress to intelligence agencies.

Can anybody tell me that the NAACP is relevent anymore? Come one what did they expect ?They, a monolithic voting apparatus of the left side of the democratic party, expected President Bush, a moderate conservative republican, to appear after 4 years of name calling? Thats pretty stupid. Anybody remember what happened after the last time he appeared? Thats right they made a video saying Bush basically lynched a black man then they went on to call Bush a confederate and member of the Taliban. And that is the light part of there hate. If anything Bush should propose stripping the NAACP of all tax exempt status.

What about this Sandy Berger fluff up? On its face it seems pretty stupid but when you look deeper what was Sandy Berger covering up? And why are the dems so keen on blaming republicans on a democrats wrongdoing? Its simple Berger released to the press he was under investigation, not Bush. Kerry told him to do it, not Bush. The dems wanted to test the waters and see where it goes. Not to mention if the Republicans did it they would have waited until the DNC convention or even later closer to the election, no it was a DNC fluff campaign meant to cover Kerrys ass who, besides Clinton was the only person who could benefit from any top secret documents dissapearing.

Update on my niece Emma.

Doctors say she is in a coma, another says she isnt. There is still some bleeding in the back of her brain. They removed part of her front temporal lobe and periatal(sp?)lobe. Some good news is she responds to touch and when light is shined in her pupils they react. Doctors dont know yet how her brain functions will work if she recovers, her brain can compensate with the missing parts or it may not its a wait and see situation.

I am thinking of setting up a fund so my sister can devote all her time to Emma, if anybody knows how to do this email me.

Tom is still under arrest. Detectives believe he is telling 99.9% of the truth but they think he is holding out on 30 seconds on the events. Possibly he did something to aggravate it or maybe accidently caused it, either way the truth must come out. Keep the prayers coming.

Prayers needed!

Last night I received word that my 11 month old niece Emma fell off a couch and hit her head on a coffee table. She was taken to the hospital where they performed brain surgery removing parts of her brain. My sister Jaime has been through so much, having previously had two stillborn children due to a genetic disease not allowing her then husband to mate with her.

Anyways little Emma went through 8 hours of surgery and had her blood replaced a couple of times. She remains in critical condition, and probably will for a little while.

My sisters boyfriend has been charged with child abuse, I dont know what to think. I want to believe it was all an accident but I cannot rule out that even in the best of people the worst things are possible. I will try and update this often.

Personal updates. Well my mothers lung cancer seems to have gone into a radical recession. Previously scans had indicated a 3 cm tumor on her lung and spotting on her liver, after a few chemo treatments the liver spotting has disappeared and the tumor has shrunk to less than 1 cm.

My brother is still hanging tough in Iraq. I was counting in my head the other day and I realized I personally know well over 40 people over in Iraq. It seems I have far more invested over there than I realized. It makes me even more determined to help and make sure my sacrifices, my brothers and all of my friends do not go unnoticed and we see the job through. I would hate nothing more than to see the blood and sweat and emotions invested by me and my fellow soldiers thrown to waste because of politics. This is why its important that we maintain the course with President Bush.

I am still battling the VA. I have applied for Vocational Rehabilitation since my war injuries inhibit my current ability to maintain a job I am qualified at. I have also wrote a letter of disagreement. It seems that they feel the most damaged parts of me, my knees and hip are not worthy of compensation yet the fairly benign damage to my wrists is worthy of compensation. Heres the rundown for those who do not know. I was injured last year in Iraq near Fallujah, I fractured my right knee and right hip and left shin and caused nerve damage to my arms resulting in damage to my wrists I also lost conscience for a period of time. I would probably have recovered much better if my treatment had been proper right off the back(I walked around for two weeks after my injury with no brace or crutch)because the doctors in the field told me I was just bruised all the while they had x-rays showing that I indeed had fracture.

Oh Well, if I stay on it,it will be ironed out in the end.Well I guess thats my catch up for now. Oh before I forget I made a video out of my boredom its to the left and the link is titled choices video. If the link doesnt work email me and I will mail it to you. Here is an excerpt from it: Fahrenheit 9/11 makes the following points about Bin Laden and about Afghanistan, and makes them in this order:

1) The Bin Laden family (if not exactly Osama himself) had a close if convoluted business relationship with the Bush family, through the Carlyle Group.

2) Saudi capital in general is a very large element of foreign investment in the United States.

3) The Unocal company in Texas had been willing to discuss a gas pipeline across Afghanistan with the Taliban, as had other vested interests.

4) The Bush administration sent far too few ground troops to Afghanistan and thus allowed far too many Taliban and al-Qaida members to escape.

5) The Afghan government, in supporting the coalition in Iraq, was purely risible in that its non-army was purely American.

6) The American lives lost in Afghanistan have been wasted. (This I divine from the fact that this supposedly "antiwar" film is dedicated ruefully to all those killed there, as well as in Iraq.)

It must be evident to anyone, despite the rapid-fire way in which Moore's direction eases the audience hastily past the contradictions, that these discrepant scatter shots do not cohere at any point. Either the Saudis run U.S. policy (through family ties or overwhelming economic interest), or they do not. As allies and patrons of the Taliban regime, they either opposed Bush's removal of it, or they did not. (They opposed the removal, all right: They wouldn't even let Tony Blair land his own plane on their soil at the time of the operation.) Either we sent too many troops, or were wrong to send any at all—the latter was Moore's view as late as 2002—or we sent too few. If we were going to make sure no Taliban or al-Qaida forces survived or escaped, we would have had to be more ruthless than I suspect that Mr. Moore is really recommending. And these are simply observations on what is "in" the film. If we turn to the facts that are deliberately left out, we discover that there is an emerging Afghan army, that the country is now a joint NATO responsibility and thus under the protection of the broadest military alliance in history, that it has a new constitution and is preparing against hellish odds to hold a general election, and that at least a million and a half of its former refugees have opted to return. I don't think a pipeline is being constructed yet, not that Afghanistan couldn't do with a pipeline. But a highway from Kabul to Kandahar—an insurance against warlordism and a condition of nation-building—is nearing completion with infinite labor and risk. We also discover that the parties of the Afghan secular left—like the parties of the Iraqi secular left—are strongly in favor of the regime change. Moore held a screening of Bowling for Columbine in Littleton
and charged admission the families of the victims.

Well the challenge has been set on why Michael Moore is so bad. Thats cool. I think one link to Richard Bushnell's Bowling for the Truth should do the trick. I will never begrudge anybody there own personal politics, never. But I will always begrudge those who profit off death like Moore does. I don't really know him enough to write about him. I've maybe talked to
him twice, but I do know his brother who is 17 and that may be who came
up in your search. So I can't write an article but there was a Mike
Prysner that is 20 now, went to my school which is Sickles located in
Tampa, and was an army recruiter. Also why would Michael Moore lie? I
don't doubt that hes stretched the truth a few times and shown some
events out of order but that is in no way comparable to all the things
George Bush has done. I bet some people may write a bogus letter to him
and he reads it but doesnt check to see if he/she is even in the army.
My problem with Mike is that he isn't backing Nader this time and he is
so passionate about exposing the truth and attacking corrupt
corporations but he couldnt give a crap about his health. So since I

When the Pope slammed America's supposed self-centeredness I was taken aback. On moral issues he may have a point, but it still misses the mark. Does the Pope not recognize that in America we tend to not mix our morals as a national cause celeb? As much as the media may try and define us as such this is not the case in any sense. When the homosexual lobby began to shove its morals down everybody's throats we just didn't sit there and accept it, we attempt to fight and stop the advance. On abortion we are still at war to end it. None of these are an artifact of state designation or of a vast majority of Americans.

Most Americans cringe at the thought of Brittany Spears having influence on today's youth as we did with Madonna, and even with Elvis. The problem is I believe not with the American people but with our media and censorship laws. We can not legally fight these within the confines of our constitution,but we as conservatives and we as Christians need to lay in place a long term solution. We need to encourage our youth to become journalists and to become actors and musicians. Much as a sinful man comes to G-D by changing his heart, to affect real change in society you must change it from within.

We as Americans are some of the most selfless individuals in this world. We feed the hungry in our enemies own home, we send our own young to die for the right of not only protecting our own self interests but to give liberty and freedom a chance for somebody else. Even when a disease runs rampant in a part of the world most people wish to forget, we send our money to them so they may live better lives. Sure its true that as a percentage of our GDP our foreign aide is fairly low, but when you look at American charities you see the real goodwill and selflessness of the American heart. The US has only an estimated 60 million Catholics(out of an estimated 1.2 billion) yet they donate nearly 3 billion dollars a year to the Catholic Charities, more than any nation on this Earth. And they are just part in the cog of Americas charitable heart.

When we go to war we don't go as land grabbers for an Imperial throne. The only land we have asked in return for saving a nation from tyranny was enough to bury our dead and to build an Embassy. When we have won the day instead of kicking our enemy when down or looting its wealth we rebuild them ,we give them money , we help them to become a better people and a better nation. Sure we aren't perfect but the peace and prosperity in Europe, Japan and South Korea should be testament enough to our own selflessness.

In closing I want to say yes we are indeed in a battle for our moral soul right now in America but to label us as a nation of selfish people is in no small words wrong.

I know I promised to not breach this issue but I thought it was important enough to at least get my 2 cents out there.

I was going to slam the Popes remarks on American self-centeredness today but I decided not too. With the passing of one of the 20th century's true titans it would be inappropriate of me to do so, in recognitian of the Popes help in ending the cold war and in honor of my fallen hero President Ronald Wilson Reagan.

The left in there most insidious manners are already dancing on the grave of this man. I can go down the list and debunk or defend every myth they have about him, from Nicaragua to Homelessness but I wont. As President George H. W. Bush has said, "I will never apoligize for America". Hence we as Americans should never apoligize for Reagan, his policies from reducing the tax-rates to increasing military spending, although costly did far more than just increase deficits they created millions of jobs, forced the USSR to spend themselves into oblivian and created a military force that the world has never seen before.

President Reagan instilled in us a pride we had not seen since the 1950's. His infectious hope and belief in what America can do and would do is something that we may never see again in the Presidency.

I was a kid in 1984 when he got re-elected in a historic landslide. We did one of our class polls on who would win, me being unique and different was the only kid in a class of 30 to vote for Mondale. I guess the old adage is true " If you are a conservative when you are young you have no heart, but if you are a liberal when you are old then you have no brain" I guess my liberalism came a little early. 2 years later in my 6th grade class we were watching the Space Shuttle Challenger take off, and then tragedy hit, there wasnt a dry eye in that room or that school, it is a memory that will forever be ingrained in my mind. President Reagans speech later on is what sealed for me my love for him and country. So I would like to end this blog today with his own words on the Challenger disaster:

On this Memorial Day I cant help but feel saddened at the current state of affairs in politics. John Kerry today couldnt help himself by making a partisan political statement. This is sad, if this man wishes to be CIC he needs to learn how to stop politics. To use a day of rememberance of those who have died in the past to attack a sitting President is reprehensible. Unfortunately the press will not scold him the way he should be. Another piece of concern is the double speak by Democrats. While good men are dying they debate on how much the war has cost, every single congressman and senator should be standing behing there servicemen and leave politics out of funding. Its alright to question how much and where its spent, but to make it a political issue is another thing.

I have been bantering around the idea of writing a novel. Now I know I am not a very good writer, my composition,paragraph and sentence structure skills are lacking. Also I tend to mix up simple words like there, they're and their, which I assume many people do. But I am always imagining geat things.

One book Idea I have is about a soldier who goes to a war and gets injured and upon his return he finds out the media has turned a war he so strongly believes in into a mockery. Upset with this and after he is healed and released from the military he returns to the wartorn country and begins a life of philanthropy and help. After a few months being there he is assaulted and kidnapped by radicals. Much like Nick Berg he is paraded in front of a camera and butchered, but upon his death a miraculous thing happens he is instantly reborn as an Angel of G-D, not just any Angel either. He becomes an instrument of destruction on a mission from G-D. The mission is fairly simple, by his destructive ways he is to convert the world into Christians as G-D's last ditch effort at staving off the Armeggidon.

He immediately destroys many capital cities in Europe and the World, including the Cities of San Francisco and New York to show the world G-D's seriousness. A side part of all this is the soldiers personal struggles in understanding why he was the one chosen for this task, he reviews all of his sins and failings as a human.

Another story I have been thinking about is about a Christian Minister in Alabama. He receives a communicae from a otherworldly source showing him a planet that is perfect in most ways imaginable. The directions from this source to build ships capable of universal travel and to begin a exodus of all solid christians, who are good in there faith with the lord. Side struggles will include who is defined as a solid Christian, the liberal media mockery of there plans and attempts to steal there spaceship(s). It is goinf to be sort of a different type of tribulation and rapture story, instead of a massive mysterious dissapearance they board ships much like noah and leave to begin a whole new civilization based on there ideals.

One of the funniest things I have read in awhile is on the democratic underground, yeah that collection of freaks who judge anything and anyone they consider right of Ralph Nader, they were trying to figure out why rural areas lean conservative. They say that they are uneducated, poor, inbred, god,guns and gays. With that type of thinking I am afraid of spilling the beans on the truth but they of course will never figure it out even if it did come from a highly reputable source.

Lets look at education, they say republicans are uneducated. Especially in rural states well that simply isnt true. Standards of living are generally lower in conservative states with lower unemployment to boot. Conservative states also generally donate more to charities(real charities at that like feed the children not some pro-choice group). More conservatives volunteer time overseas to help poorer people.

The rural voters fear of gun control and big brother is solidly found in reality. oft-times the true stewards of the land are not hippies in New York who so rarely gets to truly enjoy the outdoors in all its beauty but conservatives who live breath and work the land. They have seen there rights overwhelmed constantly by elitists from the East Coast and California, who say a fish is more important than food that feeds people or a turtle or any number of animals. The will of the rural voter is often overlooked for feel gooders in Posh restaurants who want to help not the rurals but the Hemp hat wearing voting block in there own back yard.

The typical democrat is an insulated individual who has had his life defined by a million others in a hive mentality, basically urbanites who cant think for themselves. They do not see the harm in there practices and there views are always backed by there neighbor. Many of the activists are trustfund babies who do not know the meaning of the word work, and have been feeling guilty of there own surroundings. Of course rather than them spending there money on helping the misfortunate they will spend there money traveling the globe protesting and causing damage to cities the world over. It is part of the reason why moderate democrats and moderate conservatives make up the majorities in the US. Frankly the left is extremely scary, imagine a world ran by the likes of Michael Moore or George Soros, frightening.

The world of international espionage and intrigue seems to be showing some life with the investigation of Ahmed Chalabi. Could America have been an unwitting tool used to destroy Saddams Regime on Irans behalf? Its quite possible, I suppose. The will and the heart was already present in the White House to take out Saddam they just lacked the specifics. They were fed the specifics by the likes of Chalabi and others.

So could it be our "superstars" in Iraq were double agents for Iran also? The possibility of this is quite intrigueing. Think about for a minute. Our spys in Iraq were feeding us intelligence on the ground as the war moved and began, could they have received orders from Iran to ignore certain aspects of Iraqi preperations, such as key weapon arsenals and other weapons caches? Allowing the weapons to leave country? Think about it. The only people who possibly had to gain was the Iranians and the Syrians if they were allowed to leave. They knew that if they fed the Bush administration enough info on WMD's they could make it a center piece of the war and forward thinking planners would recognize a geo-political victory in the making if one of the main points in the War were "proven" to be false or misleading.

Now by Iran playing a spy game of such delicate nuances is amazing. They took out there immediate enemy in Saddam and managed to stave off any future attacks by America out of that region by spoiling our victory. Interesting theories I suppose. This is something to keep your eyes out for, this also may coincide with the Oil for Food scandal and may be the reason why the investigation in Iraq moved from the Governing Council to The Supreme Islamic Bureau of Audits or something like that in Iraq.

Which is more believable? Rwanda was a world travesty that in sole part was caused by French malfeasance. The French with evidence decided to investigate themselves, it wasnt a open hearing no evidence was leaked to the press and surprise surprise the French found themselves innocent. In Germany there were thousands of reports of German soldiers and security guards punching,kicking raping and other "atrocities" against refugees layed out in the AI report. The Germans investigated themselves and once again in a surprise found themselves innocent, no pictures were released no hearings televised nothing was don. The world is full of these examples, from Canadian war-crimes in Somalia to French war-crimes in the Congo,Rwanda, Ivory Coast. The Sudan has butchered more than a million people, they have slavery and they also practice female circumcision. Very rarely will you ever see an open example of a country investigating themselves as you do in America.

So a question must be asked to the world, where are your open courts? Where are your condemnations?For Indonesians killing christians? Kenyans killing christians? Russians massacring Chechnyans? Chinese killing untold millions? The North Koreans? Venezuela? Columbia?Saudi Arabia? How about we use Sharia Law and start cutting off hands and feet or heads even? Will that appease the world? The world is full of hypocritical monsters from Paris to Islamabad. A handful of American soldiers stray from the pack and commit a crime that in most countries of the world wouldnt even make the back page, except that they are Americans and are now guilty without trial, sentenced with prejudice. The worlds media elite are so infatuated with this story and with there normal homoerotic flair will pound this into the ground and make up more stories,because now no matter the truth of the matter the people in Europe and the rest of the world are so ingrained with the half-truths of there media about America that no matter the charge it is true until disproven by somebody who isnt Bush's poodle, but when this guy steps up he will immediate become the enemy to them. I have been studying Michael Fatass Moores letters from soldiers and I have come to one conclusion, most if not all of them are fake. Many of the letters do not even have names a soldier Jerry Oliver states he received a honorable valor discharge, say Jerry is that a new type of discharge I have yet heard of? And how did you manage to only serve three years and not have a reserve commitment Jerry? BTW he isnt in the Army Database.

So once again take anything Michael Fatass Moores says with a grain of salt.

I do not doubt some of the letters are real, but I guarantee some of them are not or are misrepresented by the senders. Besides somebody may need to read those soldiers who are telling the truth article 88 of the UCMJ that will straighten them up.

Its very interesting to look at history and then look at Iraq. After we won the Spanish American War we had an uprising in the Phillipines 5 years after it resulting in the deaths of thousands of Americans and 100's of thousands of Filipinos yet we managed to qualsh and rule it. After WW1 however the world decided to not occupy the conquered which inevitably led to WW2. It took 7 years to quiet Germany after WW2 and roughly the same time for Japan. They were not easy, there deaths and the media and people questioned whether or not we were winning the peace there. Well history has proven out that in fact yes we did.

Now look at Iraq a war that took a little over a month to win. Now we are trying to win the peace. In all comparisons Iraq looks much better at this point in time than either Germany or Japan. But the media will never ever let you in on that. They dont want you to know how its going over there, as long as it bleeds it leads and if bleeds in Iraq its trouble for Bush. This war will never be won over in Iraq as long as its being lost in the media over here. But lets say tommorow the election was held and John F'n Kerry won. Do you think it would get better? ZNo the situation in Iraq wouldnt change but its guaranteed the media perceptions of it would, as well with the economy and other things.Thousands of soldiers write there parents, friends, media outlets and congressman everyday outraged at the unfair and slanted media coverage the war receives but nobody pays attention to them unless they are the few who speak out against it like Lt Rieckhoffer. Well the Nick Berg slaughter is getting curious. We find out he met Moussoui at OU, by chance, or was it? He had a copy of the Koran and an anti-semitic book. How can someone who couldnt actualy find work in Iraq, by most accounts anyways still make 70000 in a month? Michael Berg is calling for answers I think he should be the one questioned. What was your son doing there? Dont give us the line that he worked at the GOP national convention, and according to you and nobody else was a strong supporter of Bush, its all too convenient. You do not have to be a Republican to gain access to contracts at the National Convention.

One of the best is that the CIA killed him to get pressure off the Abu Ghraib abuses. Another is that he was CIA or even MOSSAD, now anybody with an inkling of intelligence would know that the terrorists would have hammered home the fact he was CIA or MOSSAD.

The most likely theory I have heard is that Berg,a possible shadow member of ANSWER went to Iraq to provide his services to the opposition, Berg going so far as to even grow a islamist beard and carrying with him a prayer rug and koran and a anti-semitic book to prove his authenticity. The FBI curious about his workings in Iraq and the fact that he had been picked up a second time by Iraqi police, question him not once but three times.After offering him transport home and Bergs refusal of it the FBI or another agency provided a tail on him to lead them to his conspirators, but Berg managed to dissapear on them. Berg meeting up with al-Zaqawi(sp?) decide to do another "hostage scenario" thinking that would play into there hands in the media, but something changed and Al-Zaqawi had different plans. The change was the Abu-Ghraib abuses, incensing the terrorists they decide to kill Berg as retaliation hoping to incite Arab support and to hopefully cause Americas will to whither. His father ghoulishly pounces on the political aspects of it back home and plays conveniently into the hands of the terrorists by declaring his son a Bush supporter(which if you read between the lines he is saying if you support Bush you will die like this) and that he himself was anti-war and anti-bush (quiet appeasement in the face of tragedy, could a sons death be slapped any harder?) his father going on to say that his sons death was caused by Bush and Rumsfield and that the "terrorists killed there best friend", what kind of statements are those?

I am going to choose to believe that Nick was simply a goodhearted guy trying to help make Iraq better and ended up being an innocent slaughtered.
If this is fiction I would hate to see the truth, after all the old saying is that the truth is always stranger than the fiction.

Well the Jihadis have murdered another innocent civilian in cold blood. In a very graphic video they beheaded Nick Berg a private contracter working to help Iraqis restore part of there country. But remember we are the bad guys. Wait a few guys were stripped naked and made to perform degrading acts, an action that is deplorable. But americans being burned alive and dragged through the streets isnt deplorable right? A prisoner has wires taped to his balls and a hood over his head, hmm while Jihadis make a man stating his name and family and then commence to sawing off his head on camera is alright. In my mind Hackworth, the self proclaimed fighter for enlisted rights did more damage to his beloved military than ever by anybody since Kerry in Vietnam. What a shame.How can a man who proclaims such adorationdo this to the military. He knows what he has done. He has impugned the military to fight. He has put a roadblock in our way to victory. I cant begin to describe my disgust at how the Iraqi prisoners have been treated, sure these guys are bad guys but they still deserved to be treated like humans. The BS line that the guards are using that they didnt have proper training is BS, they like me had been givin a EPW and Geneva Conventions class on how to treat EPW's. Not to mention many of these guys are actual prison guards in the real world so they knew how to treat people.

Its hard to say but these guys may need to face a firing squad, there actions are of such disgust that they may need to be killed for the greater good. For one there actions may lead to the deaths of hundreds of people. They have harmed even further a already fractured relationship with the middle east. And they may have cause a large amount of Iraqis who had trust in us to lose that trust. Not good, just not good.

For thousands of years evil has coalesced only in a relatively small area of the world. That would be Europe. From Ancient Rome to Alexander the Great to Napolean and Hitler, most of the worlds deaths in wars arent do to religion they are do to European quest for power. Marxism, the father ideology of Communism and Socialism began there, resulting in at least a 100 million deaths. The great religious wars began in Europe from the Crusades to the 30 year wars. So when we hear European complaint about American aggresion one must always take it with a grain of salt.

Europeans are so crippled by there history that they would prefer to keep despots like Saddam Hussein in power rather than remove him, much like they did to Milosivec. The funny thing is, is that these very same actions are what lead to WW2. The European quest for peace led them to ignore the greatest danger of there time in the 1930's. The scariest thought of it all is that one looking at there history can only come to one conclusion, the European Union will be the worlds greatest aggresors in this century.

Who will they be aggresive against? The US of course. They view us and despise us, they believe we are the greatest cause of all that ills the world and with there increasig Muslim population that hate will only grow. America needs to work quickly to discover new friendship groups that can replace the EU and Canada. We need to work on increasing our trade relationships with South America and Asia, although Asia will need considerably less work. South America may hate us quite a bit, but they are an easier template to work with than Europe. We need to rethink our priorities in this world and the first thing we need to do is consider Europe the enemy that it already is.

Here is some info most people do not or do not want you to know. If tomorrow the Supreme Court overturned Roe V. Wade, abortion would not dissapear. In fact abortion laws would go down to State levels and State Laws. The fact of the matter is the feminist want abortion to be mandated by federal law so that they have a national issue to project there other communist stances, abortion to them is the stepping stone to bigger government, bigger taxes and secularism.

The view of the left is simple, if one woman wants an abortion in say North Dakota than the majority of North Dakotans must allow her to have it, no matter how much it stands in the way of Dakotans personal beliefs. They use the guise of the Civil Rights era to put a shame complex on a majority.

I have met a few women who say they would never have an abortion, but if another one wants one we shouldnt stop them. I believe thats the only prevailing wind keeping abortion from being overturned on a national level, its the people who do not have the conviction of there beliefs that keep it from overturning.

The arguments for abortion can be very compelling. Rape, Incest, birth defects, womens health are all pretty compelling. But the one issue they use to trump all of those is the most heinous, selfishness or in other words Right to Choose. I dont believe in abortion, but the pro-murdereres probably would have a better time convincing people if they werent so incredibly self centered and selfish. Look at who has abortions, its not the poor, its not the sick, its the middle class girl who doesnt want stretch marks or the girl who is just starting her career and doesnt want to be bogged down with a bothersome baby, its the actress whos beauty matters only to her own conceited self thats who are the baby killers. This is just my two cents on this issue, after all I am just a man.

Well my mother has Stage 4 Small Cell Lung Cancer, they do not really know yet whether or not it has spread to other organs, I pray it hasnt. I hear that Small Cell reacts good to chemo, so thats a prayer plus with the news that a drug company has created a drug that prevents the spread of lung cancer, so hopefully her 5% survival rate will turn into a 50% or better. She is strong and is a fighter, her sister, my aunt, survived stage 4 breast cancer so the fight is in her blood.

Sorry Kerry but simply serving does not excuse you from your years of lies and deceit. Lee Harvey Oswald served with some distinction, Timothy McVeigh served with distinction, Kerry you served with distinction. You cannot use your war service as cover for post war issues. It is like a Priest who abused a child saying he had twenty good years behind him, its a shameful deflection and you need to stop it immediately. A question that was recently asked to me is why Pat Tillman is receiving so much attention. The answer is simple, he was something that has been missing in this country. He had the American dream, everything a person could want, fame wealth and security and he gave it up for you and me. Its very simple to recognize, even soldiers serving and the parents of the deceased recognize what he has done. He put a face to the fallen, to the forgotten war and the public war, to many Arizonans they feel they have lost a son. No we arent saying he is more important than our other dead heroes, but his story is different.

He wasnt forced to join, like many other stars of old, he volunteered, he has in one fell swoop made hollywood and proffesional sports look like insignificant ants. How many of us would say you would give up millions to serve this country? Not many.

I hear that some democrats are trying to politicize his death, thats sad. That is something I am sure Pat would never allow to happen. I wouldnt be surprised to find out that Pat wasnt a registered member of either party, just a simple American willing to serve and die for you and me, for a cause he believed in.

Today we here news of Pat Tillman the Arizona Cardinal who gave up a multi-million dollar contract to serve in the US Army Rangers has passed away. God Bless him.

He is I believe a true hero. That word hero is oft times thrown around like so much confetti but is rarely place in true context. But a man, any man, who serves and dies is deserving of that honor in name. For low pay, rough surroundings, sleep deprivation, occasionaly hunger and thirst a hero is willing to put up with all of that and still carry that burden of responsibility on his shoulders, that burden is freedom. Pat Tillman could have chose wealth, he could have chose comfort he could have chose the relative safety of football and home life and he gave it all up for us. For a cause that to him was worth dying for. The world of athletics can learn something about Pat and what a real hero is. The world of the elites could stand to learn something too, there are things greater than personal politics and nitch causes such as abortion and trees.

I have found out my mother has come down with lung cancer, she has a mass approximately 3 cm in diameter. She is in good spirits and has come to accept what she cannot change. My father also has bladder cancer so they will probably be receiving chemo at tthe same time.

It seems this year is going to be a rough one overall, with a brother of mine in Iraq serving with the SF, a brother in law who nearly died in a car accident and another one who commited suicide not to mention me and my injuries from Iraq, well I can say I am already looking forward to 2005 if we can get through 2004.

I have always been interested in prophecy, especially biblical prophecy. It seems to me that if you are a believer that many signs today point towards the End of Days. So I take heart to having read biblical scripture and prophecy to know that Iraq will be rebuilt much stronger than what it is now, and in fairly short time on the historical scale possibly taking only 3-5 years. The sad part to me as an American is to know that the UN or another world or large geo-political body will receive the praise and glory for that and will be the progenetor of Babylon rising. Also with this strong new Iraq, Syria along with Iran and Saudi Arabia will be turned into faux-democracies and will even sign peace treaties with Israel after Israel capitulates land back to the Palestinians, including Jerusalem, at least half of Jerusalem all this by the guidance of the abomination of desolation or the anti-christ, I wont try to guess who he is or where he will come from. Many say he will arise from palestine or the middle east some others say Europe, if I had to guess he will come out of Israel and will be an Israeli possibly a PM. Thats what makes prophecy so fantastic is the unkown and the thought that maybe I can, unlike many other before, understand and disseminate the facts that points towards the end.

Well it has been a long time since I added something new to my blog. I have been busy with doctors appointments. Hopefully I am done with the VA for now abd can get on with my life. For those of you who dont know I served in the Army in Iraq during the invasion I was severely injured after 10 days in Iraq, although I was in Kuwait for 2 months.

Time and date may change but the liberal media hasnt. If anything this is the most vile and hateful campaign season in my young life (I am 30). Its scary to look at the political landscape out there and realize what is happening. From Florida Democrats calling for Rumsfield to be shot to Air America constantly spinning lies and half truths. Al Franken meeting with reporters privately in his house to help school them on spinning John Kerry properly and consistent misrepresentations on Iraq. Its no surprise to me to learn that Air America today has been shutdown due to a bounced check, although it is only two cities it goes to show even at a minute level that liberals just cant handle finances. And people think they should lead this country?

Well I am going now but maybe I will add some more later, I have got to remember this blog.

As you can see he never once said that they in fact have WMD's but the equipment to do so, also another contention the left has was that Bush said there were SCUD's he never once said that and you can see in the last paragraph he said SCUD-like, which I can assure you people, after being there in Iraq he most certainly did have SCUD-like weapons and used them often in the early phases of operation Iraqi-Freedom.

People are being pedantic and frankly slightly retarded when they make assertions on the contrary from the facts. Like when they say it never was about freeing Iraqis from a totalitarian regime. BS.

I just read a post on a forum site that said Bush was a liar, and has never told the truth during his Presidency. That is pure and utter lunacy. I asked them what did they mean by that and she responded "His campaign promises and Iraq were his biggest lies", and that got me thinking how much has Bush really done as President.

He promised us tax breaks. He Delivered.
He promised us school reform. He delivered.
He promised us unity. He delivered. The democrats are the ones who have broken ranks and lied to the American public.
He promised a prescription drug plan for seniors. He delivered.
He promised to jumpstart the economy. He is delivering now, inspite of the War on Terrorism and 9-11.

Did he lie on Iraq?

Many of the lies directed at Bush ascertain that he promised a easy war, that is wrong here is the excerpt from his address to the nation in March,2003:

"I want Americans and all the world to know that coalition forces will make every effort to spare innocent civilians from harm. A campaign on the harsh terrain of a nation as large as California could be longer and more difficult than some predict. And helping Iraqis achieve a united, stable and free country will require our sustained commitment. "

Did he lie about WMD's?

Depends on what you consider lies. If knowingly passing on false information then no he did not.

I believe the President believed his intelligence reports. Not only that, although unlikely at this point, the case is still out on WMD's they still could be found. We have found many mobile weapons trailers, a point Colin Powell pointed out to the UN and numerous missiles capable of delivering chemical and bioligical weapons. So in some small way the President has some evidence to support claims.

Its funny how the Europeans and the American left is spinning Bush's visit to Baghdad.On the frontpage of the UK's Independent Newspaper ,a left wing rag, a day after Thanksgiving they had the headline "THE TURKEY HAS LANDED" with a picture of GWB holding a turkey up the article went on to say that Bush's ploy was a master stroke. The article also went on to lambast him for his policies, whenever these rags, if you noticed, have a chance to mention Iraq or Bush they will always end with the negative stuff and end up having a different story all together.

Here is the first paragraph of the article.

This is my first time for creating anything close to a homepage and I will attempt to look at not only US politics but also European politics, for I believe the future of the world lies in the view of the EU's politicians and the powers they are getting on the global scene.
